ECO CHIC 2024 CIC emerged from a simple yet powerful idea: that the path to a sustainable future lies in reimagining our relationship with waste. Founded in February 2024 in Middlesbrough, our community interest company quickly became a catalyst for positive change in North East England.
We operate on the principle that one person's waste is another's resource. We've developed a holistic approach to waste management that goes beyond recycling. Our initiatives span from rescuing and redistributing food to transforming potential landfill items into useful products through creative upcycling. We've also tackled the often-overlooked issue of hygiene poverty by making essential products accessible at a fraction of their usual cost.
